What is an Examiner?

  • An Examiner is part of our network of professionals from across the United States who participates in our various field-testing projects.

  • An Examiner plays a vital role in the development of high-quality, fair, and reliable tests.

  • An Examiner's input and careful administration of tests being developed or revised is critically important. We could not do it without them!

  • An Examiner must be qualified to administer and score the test he or she will be working with.

  • Our examinees are chosen from the Parent Consent Forms sent back to us by the Examiner. The examinees are chosen randomly by Pearson in order to be representative of the diverse national population. We need Examiners and examinees from all regions of the United States.

  • An Examiner who administers and returns Consent Forms, and who administers and returns correctly completed tests, will receive compensation of either cash or Pearson assessment catalog credit!

  • As a special thank you and an affirmation of the vital role they play, Examiners and their facilities can be acknowledged in the published test manual. This can be a wonderful addition to the professional status of each examiner and the status of their facility.
