The Chronological Age Calculator for Pocket PC OS can be used with version Pocket PC 2000 or 2002. Follow the directions below to install the Age Calculator for use with a Pocket PC device and a desktop computer that uses Windows® 98 SE or higher.
Installation instructions
The Chronological Age Calculator application is downloadable as a compressed file. Before installing it on your Pocket PC device, you will need to decompress the files using WinZip® or a similar program that is already installed on your desktop computer.
- Select the Chronological Age Calculator for Pocket PC download link (below), and save the "Setup.zip" file to your desktop.
- Establish a connection between your PDA and your desktop computer.
- From your desktop computer, double-click on the "Setup.zip" icon. WinZip will open.
- Using WinZip, select "Install" to launch the installation program. The application will start to install.
- Follow the additional directions presented on the Pocket PC screen. If given the option to replace files, be sure to replace the file only if the "replace with" file is newer than the "existing" file.
Attention Pocket PC 2003 users:
Some users have received the following error when trying to use the program: "The application you have launched requires Microsoft eMbedded Visual Basic Runtime to be installed." If you receive this error, you may download a free application from the following location on the Microsoft web site that will address this issue:
